Open the trunk and locate the access panel behind the tail light.

Remove the panel screws or clips to access the bulb holder.

Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull it out.

Press and twist the old bulb to remove it from the socket.

Insert the new bulb — make sure it's the correct type.

Push the socket back in and twist clockwise to lock.

Replace the access panel and close the trunk.

Ask someone to stand behind the car while you test the lights.
